FAQ

What is the best Formspree alternative?

It depends on what you want to pay for. If you already have an email account (Gmail, Zoho, Outlook, SES…), FormSMTP sends through it with 1,000 free emails a month. If you don’t want to manage SMTP at all, a hosted sender like Formspree, Web3Forms or Getform is simpler.

Why do form backends charge per submission?

Most of them send your email from their own servers, so every submission costs them sending and reputation. FormSMTP sends through your SMTP account instead, which is why its plans are larger and cheaper.

Can I switch without changing my form fields?

Yes. For plain HTML forms you change the form’s action URL; field names stay the same. Each comparison below has the exact steps.
